Tell us about your business, your team and your customers?
Monzie's Floral Design was established in 2012 when I purchased Reese Florist after working there for 7 years, and changed the name. We currently have 4 part time employees, 2 of which have been with us since the beginning, plus myself. Our customers come to us looking for unique, one of a kind designs with a high end touch. We deliver daily in a 30 mile radius from our shop and service up to 6 weddings per weekend. The Shoppe at Monzie's is also part of our brand; a gift shop featuring locally & regionally sourced products for every budget and occasion.
What is your favorite thing about running a business in the Endless Mountains?
Location is everything! We are far enough from the cities to be a small, quaint town but close enough for customers to come spend some time shopping & enjoying Tunkhannock. For the flower shop, this area has really become a wedding destination spot! Our wedding business has quadrupled in the past 8 years which is incredible.

Business to business networking, community support, wealth of resources, the parties :)
How has your business changed during to Covid?
Our wedding business has been affected the most. We have currently moved 29 events to 2021, which I'm sure will be higher by the time this season is over. What that means for us is the loss of "dates". Clients are essentially contracting for 2 dates now, but only paying retainers for 1. We've shortened our hours to decrease our overhead while still having a strong presence in the community.
