Keystone College invites applications for a full-time Management Generalist with a primary teaching focus in Sport & Recreation Management and the flexibility to support Hospitality Business Management and Business Management programs within the Business, Management, and Technology Division.
This position is strategically designed to strengthen the Sport & Recreation Management program while also providing cross-program management instruction across the division. The ideal candidate will be a versatile business educator who understands applied management within sport, recreation, hospitality, and service-based industries.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in teaching, a commitment to student mentorship, and the ability to contribute meaningfully to curriculum development within a comprehensive and interdisciplinary business division.
This faculty member will play a key role in supporting program growth, enrollment initiatives, internship development, and experiential learning opportunities across multiple management-based majors.
Teach undergraduate (and potentially graduate) courses in core management areas such as:
Develop, assess, and continuously improve curriculum to ensure alignment with industry standards and accreditation expectations.
Integrate experiential learning, case analysis, and applied business projects into coursework.
Contribute to the continued development and visibility of the Sport & Recreation Management program, including industry partnerships, internships, advisory engagement, and student recruitment.
Advise and mentor students regarding academic progression, internships, and career development.
Maintain an active program of scholarly or professional engagement consistent with institutional expectations.
Participate in departmental governance, institutional service, recruitment efforts, and assessment initiatives.
Support student organizations, internships, and community or industry partnerships.
Collaborate across programs within the Business, Management, and Technology Division to ensure curricular alignment, efficient course coverage, and strategic program sustainability.
Master’s degree in management, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, Sport Management, or a closely related field (Doctorate or ABD preferred).
Demonstrated teaching effectiveness at the collegiate level or significant professional management experience.
Evidence of professional or scholarly engagement in management or related disciplines.
Strong communication skills and commitment to student-centered pedagogy.
Commitment to inclusive excellence and engagement with diverse student populations.
Demonstrated ability or willingness to teach across sport, recreation, hospitality, and general business management contexts.
Experience teaching multiple core business (Business, Leadership, Sports and Recreation Management, Hospitality, and Information Technology, disciplines.
Industry experience in sport organizations, recreation management, hospitality operations, organizational leadership, strategic planning, or similar industries.
Experience delivering instruction in multiple modalities (face-to-face, hybrid, online).
Experience in program development, student recruitment, internship coordination, or industry partnership building is highly desirable.
