Position Overview:
Ace Robbins is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HVAC Sales Estimator to join our team.
This individual will be responsible for generating accurate and competitive HVAC system estimates for new installations, upgrades, and service projects. The Sales Estimator will work closely with both clients and our internal teams to ensure that HVAC solutions meet the unique needs of each customer while aligning with company goals and budget constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet with clients to assess their HVAC needs and gather information for estimates.
- Prepare detailed and accurate HVAC system proposals for installation, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Use provided tools to calculate material, labor, and equipment costs for each project.
- Provide clients with clear, comprehensive, and competitive pricing for HVAC solutions.
- Assist clients in selecting the most appropriate HVAC systems based on their requirements and budget.
- Collaborate with service team to ensure estimates are realistic and in line with company capabilities.
- Present estimates and explain details, addressing client questions or concerns.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure accurate pricing and product availability.
- Follow up with clients after submitting proposals to provide additional information and support the sales process.
- Track project costs and adjust estimates as necessary based on changes in scope, material costs, or unforeseen issues.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, industry standards, and safety regulations in all estimates.
- Contribute to business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and potential leads.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in HVAC sales, estimating, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and energy-efficient solutions.
- Proficiency with estimating and financing software/tools
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to clients in layman's terms.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong customer service and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations related to HVAC installations.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in HVAC installation, repair and/or maintenance.
Certifications are a plus, but not required.
- Previous experience in residential and commercial HVAC sales or estimating.
- Familiarity with energy-efficient and sustainable HVAC technologies.
