Position: Events and Marketing Intern
Location: Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce, Tunkhannock, PA
Timeline: June 2 - August 22
Hours: 20 hours per week
Reports To: Chamber President

About the Opportunity
Are you passionate about storytelling, community engagement, and gaining hands-on experience in the business world? The Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce is seeking an enthusiastic intern to join our team this summer! This role offers a unique chance to contribute to impactful projects, develop your professional skills, and work with a supportive team dedicated to local business and economic growth.
Responsibilities
As a Chamber Intern, you will:

  • Help create and schedule social media posts across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Assist in writing and editing content for newsletters, blogs, and the Chamber website.
  • Support the team in planning and promoting Chamber events online.
  • Research trending topics and gather content ideas to keep posts fresh and engaging.
  • Pitch in on general office tasks and other projects as needed.
Key Learning Experiences
During your internship, you’ll gain insight into:
  • The Chamber’s role in economic development and community support.
  • The art of professional communication and marketing for business and community organizations.
  • Event planning and project management from concept to execution.
  • Working in a collaborative, team-focused environment.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in college, preferably in Business, English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms and content creation.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, stay organized, and show initiative.
