Food Service Manager

Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Food Service Manager to oversee daily operations at our Gelato/coffee/dessert shop. This role is responsible for ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining high-quality product standards, managing staff, and driving overall business performance. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shop operations, including opening and closing procedures
• Supervise, train, and schedule staff to ensure optimal coverage and performance
• Maintain exceptional customer service standards and resolve customer concerns professionally
• Monitor product quality, presentation, and freshness of gelato and related items
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and coordinate with vendors
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
• Handle cash management, sales tracking, and basic financial reporting
• Develop strategies to increase sales, improve efficiency, and enhance customer experience
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming shop environment

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic understanding of budgeting, inventory, and sales reporting
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with specialty desserts, coffee, ice cream, or artisanal food products
• Barista experience
• Food safety manager certification
• Passion for gelato, desserts, and hospitality
