Circle Up Healing

About Us

Hi! I am Amanda Ruark, a wife and mother of 3 sons.
We live on a small hobby farm nestled in the Endless Mountains of NEPA, near my husband’s 3rd generation PA bluestone business.
I grew up nearby on my families’ 5th generation Holstein dairy farm. Agriculture runs deep in my roots! Thankfully, the boys have taken an interest in raising their own livestock for 4-H.

I’m also a Registered Hospice Nurse, which I’ve put on hold to raise the boys since 2010.
My aspiration of “saving the world" holds true to my horse-rescuing passion. I currently have a Standardbred mare, Magic and a Gypsy Vanner mare, Lola, both rescues, along with my QH gelding, named Voodoo.

It amazes me the healing powers of these majestic creatures. I couldn’t imagine my life without them and can’t WAIT to share their healing powers with others through my 9-month Equine Facilitation licensure program I recently completed through, “Touched by a Horse,” along with my 2-year Equine Gestaltist certification program that I am currently enrolled in and half-way through.
Recently, I’ve begun volunteering with Equines for Freedom, an incredible nonprofit that offers free EMDR-based equine therapy for veterans, first responders, and healthcare workers battling PTSD. My husband serves on their board, and I’m honored to assist as an Equine Specialist during therapy sessions — an experience that continues to deepen my understanding of the quiet power horses hold in the healing process.
I live to serve others and help them make peace in this wayward world.
I look forward to meeting all of you!!
