Social Media/Membership Manager

Position Summary:
 
The Social Media/Membership Manager is responsible for developing and managing the programs and systems to acquire and retain members, and the account management of existing members.  They are also responsible for building and executing social media strategies.

 
 
Duties:
 

  • Welcomes visitors and vendors to our Visitor’s Center.  Assists visitors by referring different attractions and businesses that meet their interests.
  • Builds and executes social media strategies through messaging, research and audience identification. 
  • Stays current on new trends and topics in social media.
  • Generates content through member’s social media posts and creates content relevant to the Endless Mountains Region.
  • Generates and analyzes reports to gain insight on traffic, demographics and overall effectiveness. 
  • Collaborates with the Executive Director on Social Media Marketing Plan.
  • Works with our membership to give marketing advice and ways to improve their social media presence. 
  • Develop and manage a campaign to recruit new members.
  • Ensure that membership benefits are clearly presented through our digital channels.
  • Prospect, cultivate and establish new membership relationships.
  • Aid in planning and attend annual membership marketing event.
  • Manage new members information distribution to staff.
  • Review and recommend changes to membership fees, services, and benefits.
  • Write and distribute press releases as requested from members.
  • Aid in editing and proofing member listings in all Endless Mountains publications.
  • Tracks existing member and partner literature supply, and notifies members when supplies are low and/or when more are needed.
  • Literature distribution – filling EMVB rack locations throughout the region.
  • Compiles Board Meeting information packets and maintains physical copy of board meeting reports.  Attends board meetings and compiles minutes.
  • General office duties as needed.
 
 
Qualifications for the job
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. 
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Marketing, Journalism, and/or Communications major or similar degree and work experience preferred.
  • Good sense of humor and positive attitude.
  • Exceptional customer service and business etiquette.
  • Consistent, positive follow-up.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends a few times a year.
  • Technical knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office and WordPress preferred.  
  • Must have a valid PA License.
