Edgar Warriner is a experienced business executive, a life-long local resident and will be speaking on "Understanding the differences between an Impact Fee and a Severance Tax". The potential adoption of a severance tax on natural gas could deal a devastating blow on our local businesses, business owners, and land owners for years to come. After being raised on a local dairy farm, he spent over 20 years in a corporate environment including the last several as an executive of a Fortune 50 company responsible for a $400 million business unit. Most recently he has leveraged his experiences and expertise in leadership development and strategic planning by helping local business owners build growing and self sustaining businesses. By working directly with business owners in the heart of the Marcellus Gas industry, Edgar can share how important the continued investment into gas extraction is to the health of our local economy and why the Impact Fee is the most appropriate way to collect and redistribute monies from the natural gas companies.
