The Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce invites you to attend the July Educational Luncheon at The Warren Hotel on Wednesday, June 24 11:45am-1:00pm. Our presenter will be Cindy Klenk, Senior Policy Advisor to State Senator John P. Blake.
Pennsylvania is faced with a skills gap, not to mention underemployment, unemployment, and a drop-out rate, which impacts our future workforce and our economy. Senator Blake has hosted the E2 Summit annually since 2012 with the intention to raise awareness to the value and the challenges of career focused education, and to call attention to the skills gap currently separating our students from the careers of today and tomorrow. During 2013 the E2Committee has worked in partnership with Intermediate Unit 18 and 19 to collectively develop a plan to better implement Career Education and Work Standards with close to 40 schools in northeast Pennsylvania. Training is underway with more than 29 districts participating. How can your business help? Schools need active participation from business and industry to ensure success. Local input and involvement is critical to the development of a skill-ready workforce. WyCCC is involved in the Educational pipeline, we are committed to the successful sustainability of local businesses, and our local economy. Join us at the July Educational Luncheon to learn how your business can help build our future workforce.July Educational Luncheon
